Dec. 14 E-News

UPDATE: WHAT'S NEW C-26
A Note on the Dermabrasion Samples
We want to clarify something about the trial-size samples of ANEW Clinical Advanced Dermabrasion System offered in the C-26 What's New.
The sample is described as a "1-week trial." Some Customers have said that they aren't sure how the four (4) packets in the sample are supposed to be spread out over the course of a week.
Please let your Customers know that they should wait 2-3 days between packets to obtain the maximum effect. Following this regimen will run anywhere from a week to ten days.

BEAUTY ADVISORS MUST TAKE CLASS TO RETAIN TITLE
Take Online Course by January 31 or Lose Status
In order to retain their titles, Avon Beauty Advisors must complete the "Sell More with mark" course by January 31, 2008. The mark course will be available online on Monday, December 17 at The Beauty of Knowledge. Beauty Advisors must complete this course and the related assessment by January 31, 2008 to re-qualify as BAs.
Representatives who are not currently Beauty Advisors may become BAs by completing the seven courses listed under "Beauty" at The Beauty of Knowledge. Beauty Advisors are eligible for free monthly product bundles, such as the mark Party Kit.
You can also take the courses online at The Beauty of Knowledge. Dial-up users may prefer to order a $4 CD of the courses available here, and afterwards follow instructions to submit qualifying test results.

2008 AVON CALENDARS ARE IN
Beautiful -- and a Secret Weapon for Your Business

Order them now at YourAVON. They're priced low enough (pack of 10 for $5.35) that you can give at least your biggest Customers a freebie. Stamp your name and number on them for added selling power! The line number is 667-357.

AVON IN THE NEWS
JETER ON THE EARLY SHOW. Dave Price interviewed Derek Jeter on the CBS Early Show on December 3. Price reminded the crowd that the World Series MVP and eight-time All-Star had "launched his very own cologne, Driven" on the show the year before, and "it became Avon's best-selling male fragrance of all time! Now he's back introducing another scent, really designed to be worn at night, called Driven Black..." Price and Jeter clowned a bit -- after Price suggested that Driven might make him more attractive to women, Jeter said, "If it helps you, it works" -- and talked up the new fragrance for the Early Show's estimated 3.2 million viewers. JETER TIVO ALERT! A segment with Derek Jeter talking about Driven Black will appear on "Access Hollywood" this Saturday, December 15. Consult your local listings for time and station.

AVON REPRESENTATIVE ON TODAY SHOW. Executive Unit Leader Julie Tierney appeared on NBC's Today Show on December 13. Julie represented Avon's participation in the Today Show Annual Holiday Toy Drive, and presented gifts for needy children to Matt Lauer "on behalf of five million Avon Representatives and 40,000 Avon Associates."

AVON REPRESENTATIVES ON SUZE ORMAN SHOW. 20 Representatives from Avon's Jersey Stars Division were in the audience for Suze Orman's TV special, "Your Money Your Life," which aired on December 11. During the show, Orman expressed her love for Avon and even gave a shout-out to the Jersey Stars Representatives.

GOOD IDEAS ARE ALL AROUND
The Representative Times runs really useful selling tips. But sometimes you can find them elsewhere, too. A write-in column in the Bedford (IN) Times-Mirror recently (Dec 12) printed a letter from "J.J.," who said that twice a year, her daughter and her friends accompanied an Avon Representative to their local nursing home "to do little makeovers" for the residents. "What a neat idea," responded Times-Mail reporter Barbie Jenkins. "Perhaps with a little planning, a few donations and a volunteer or two, this concept could be carried on locally."
It is a neat idea -- for getting your Avon business into a potentially lucrative new market. And it could also bring much pleasure to older people whose lives may not be so full and active as they once were. "The desire to look and smell nice doesn't end just because we age," said "J.J." Amen to that -- and if you as an Avon Representative can do well by doing good, isn't the very definition of "win-win"?
